Scoping Bar – Scoping to Client or Auction
The scoping bar can be found in the top left corner of the toolbox. Here you can scope to an auction if you are an auctioneer or to auctioneers and then their auctions if you are ATG support staff.
To access the scoping bar, click on the area in the top left corner where your company name should be displayed. You will be presented with a drop down which will list all events by their start date where the start date is within a range of 1 year before the current date or 1 year after the current date. To find an event you can use the search field to search for the auction ID or the full/partial match to the auction title, searches will return all events regardless of their start date. Clicking on an event will take you to that event’s details, where you can edit the event, add/edit lots, view bidders who have registered for this auction, etc.
For ATG support
To access the scoping bar, click on the area in the top left corner where AtgMedia should be displayed. You will be presented with a drop down which will list all auctioneers and their auctions by start date where the start date is within a range of 1 year before the current date or 1 year after the current date. To find an auctioneer or event search for the auction ID or the full/ partial match to the auction title or auctioneer’s name, searches will return all events regardless of their start date. Clicking on an auction will take you to that auction’s details, where you can edit the auction, add/edit lots, view bidders who have registered for this auction, etc. To scope to an auctioneer click on this symbol next to the auctioneer’s name. The colour scheme will turn from red to blue. Only information about this auctioneer and their auctions will now be displayed
Along the left hand side of the toolbox, you will find the menus, which will change according to where in the toolbox you are. When scoping to an auction the menu will have options to view auction details, Bidders, Lots and transactions. If you click on Settings in the top right corner, the menu will change to allow you to create increments, terms and conditions and new users if you have the correct permissions
Clicking on some menu options will provide submenus, which are displayed under the main menu. For example under the Auction option you will see submenu options of Details and Results
Sorting and Filtering Grids
Within the toolbox, there are many grids that will display data and information on Lots, Bidders and Auctions. These grids will allow you to sort data in grids by a value in a specific column by either selecting a value from a drop down box or by entering a value into the sort text field.
In addition to sorting, you can also filter data in grids by a specific column. Columns that can be sorted will have an up and down arrow next to the column heading. Clicking on an arrow will sort the grid according to the ascending or descending order of the column being sorted.
Some grids also have additional Grid Views, where the user can change the data displayed in the grid.
Much of the data in grids such as lot lists and results can be exported to create a CSV file. In order to export data, filter and sort the data in the grid to the how you want your export to look, then click on the Actions button and click on Export.
The Audit Trail, where available will show you the history of actions on Lots and Bidders, such as when a lot was created and by whom, any updates done to the lot, and a history of bidding on the lot.
If a toolbox session is left logged in and idle for long enough then the user will be presented with a notification stating that they have 10 minutes to click "Continue" if they wish to continue their session, clicking "Close" will log the user out, otherwise the session will timeout when the counter reaches zero and the user will have to log in again to start a new session, any unsaved changes will be lost.
